TRANISITION Year students from Portlaoise College lit up the stage in the Dunamaise Arts Centre with a fantastic production of Grease last week.

Cast and crew put their shoulder to the wheel to make the iconic musical a huge hit with packed houses during its three-night run.

The production was directed by teachers Mr Whelehan and Mr Hogan, with choreography by Niamh Ahern.

Leading the cast of talented students were Jordan McGee as Danny and Charlee Talbot as Sandy. They were supported by Pola Nowicka (Rizzo), Keelin Moore (Frenchy) and Aaron Keenan as Kenickie. The ensemble is rounded out by an enthusiastic group of performers playing the iconic Pink Ladies and Burger Palace Boys.

The Portlaoise College production looked unerringly like the original production and is in no small part down to the fantastic costumes for the show, which are managed by Ms Kennedy, ensuring a vibrant and era-appropriate visual appeal.

Well done to all involved.
