Portlaoise Daffodil Day was a huge success

The 2025 Portlaoise Daffodil Collection for the Irish Cancer Society was a great success, yielding a total of €29,000. This was helped greatly by local schools' involvement. The Holy Family schools hosted a big bake sale coffee/tea morning, supported by pupils, staff, parents and guests. Many volunteers for Daffodil Day came from the Scoil Chríost Rí TY class. On the day, they helped prepare fresh daffodils, delivered buckets of bunches, took photos and videos for posting and collected donations outside the library. The staff of Scoil Chríost Rí held a bake-off and coffee morning, with donations to Irish Cancer. All funds collected in Laois support Laois cancer patients with vital services such as Night Nursing and Patient Transport.
