Road closed after crash in Laois

A LAOIS road has been closed following a two-vehicle collision today.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash, which happened near Abbeyleix on the R430 Mountrath road.
The collision occurred in the Derrykearn area, shortly before 12.30pm.
Gardaí have set up traffic detours and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
There are no reports of serious injuries as a result of the crash.
The route is expected to remain closed for some hours, while vehicles are removed from the scene and the road is cleared.
