Two Portlaoise banks spray-painted with graffiti

TWO bank branches and an engineering firm in Portlaoise have been spray-painted with unsightly graffiti.

The Bank of Ireland branch and the Allied Irish Bank premises, both on Lyster Square, were targeted by vandals on Wednesday.

The offices of engineering consultants Fingleton White on nearby Bridge Street were also defaced by graffiti on the same day.

Portlaoise gardaí are investigating the criminal damage incidents and are examining CCTV footage from both areas. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information that could help track down those responsible.
