Young Laois artist in top Texaco show

A BEAUTIFUL artwork by a Laois student is on display at an exhibition of winning entries in the renowned Texaco Children's Art Competition.
Teenager Beth Phelan is among the artists exhibiting her work at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, as part of an exhibition of the top 42 winning artworks from the past two years in the contest.
As a pupil at Paint Pots Art Group in Ballyfin, Beth won second prize in the 12-13 age category of the 70th competition in 2024, for her work titled ‘The Farmhouse’.
Hosted by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the exhibition is open to the public each day from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm, until Saturday, 28 February. Admission is free.
