Young Laois dancer dazzles on Late Late Toy Show

Young Laois dancer and world champion Bobby Kinsella with host Patrick Kielty on the Late Late Toy Show

A YOUNG world champion dancer from Laois dazzled millions of viewers on the Late Late Toy Show last night.

Bobby Kinsella from Stradbally captured the hearts of presenter Patrick Kielty and a packed audience in the RTÉ studio, with a wonderful performance during the celebrated annual show.

It was a proud moment for his parents Carmel and David and his grandmother Gabrielle Lynam, the renowned dancing teacher who founded the Lynam School of Irish Dancing.

It was also a proud moment for St Colman’s NS in Stradbally, where Bobby is a sixth class student. The school said on social media today: ‘Well done to Bobby in sixth class, what a performance on the Late Late Toy Show. Go Bobby!’

Having started dancing at the age of three, Bobby was crowned world champion for the second year running last March, in the An Chomhdhail World Irish Dancing Championships.

From a famous Irish dancing family, Bobby’s mother Carmel Manton-Kinsella is also a well-known dancing teacher.

Following his success last year, when he became the youngest ever male world champion at the age of 10, Bobby was honoured with a Civic Reception by Laois County Council.
