Portlaoise Court: Judge issues warrant for arrest of Laois man

A BENCH warrant was issued for the arrest of a Mountmellick man when he failed to appear at Portlaoise District Court.
Robbie Flynn (29) from 22 Cullenbeg Park, Mountmellick was due in court to answer to charges of engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and to refusing to provide his name at his address on 27 July. And on the same date, possessing cannabis for his own use and for sale or supply at Cloonagh, Mountmellick.
When Judge Susan Fay was informed that the defendant was not present in court to answer to the charges she issued gardaí with a bench warrant his arrest.
