Cork and Limerick will contest next month's Munster Senior Hurling final.

The holders Cork picked up their first win over Clare since 2021, with a 1-30 to 1-14 victory at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

League champions Limerick stormed into the provincial decider by hammering last year's All-Ireland winners Tipperary by 5-27 to 25 points.

Clare will go through to the All-Ireland quarter-finals, where they will face the beaten Leinster finalists.

Kilkenny were knocked out of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship earlier on Sunday.

Donal Burke's second-half goal from a penalty helped Dublin overcome the defending champions by 1-26 to 22 points at Parnell Park.

The defeat ends Kilkenny's season, while Dublin will advance to a provincial final against Galway.

Dublin boss Niall Ó Ceallacháin said it was an important victory for his team.

Galway recovered from going 13 points behind to beat Wexford by 2-31 to 3-20 at Wexford Park.

Offaly are into the All-Ireland quarter-finals, Brian Duignan hit the net as they won by 1-29 to 15 points at Kildare.

In managerial news, Davy Fitzgerald has stepped down as Antrim hurling manager.

The former Clare goalkeeper informed his players of his decision after Sunday's win over Carlow in the Joe McDonagh Cup.

Division Two League champions Laois won by 13-points at London to set up a final encounter with Carlow next month.

Gaelic football

Tyrone have won by 3-16 to 2-18 at Connacht champions Roscommon in the opening round of the All-Ireland Football Championship.

Ethan Jordan popped over the winning free in the last minute for the Red Hand.

In the Tailteann Cup, Sligo won by 29-points to 3-12 at Waterford and Fermanagh were eight-point winners over Wexford.

Armagh have been crowned the Ulster Ladies Football champions for the third year in-a-row.

They beat Tyrone by 2-13 to 1-15 in the final.

Kerry retained their Munster title with a 2-9 to 1-11 win over Waterford.
