Sunday sport: Cork beat Limerick to reach All-Ireland final

Hurling

Cork are through to the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final.

They've beaten defending champions Limerick 1-28 to 0-29 at Croke Park to end the Treaty's bid for a fifth consecutive title.

Minor football

Derry are back-to-back All-Ireland Minor Football champions.

That's after they beat Armagh 2-7 to 0-10 in Omagh this afternoon.

James Sargent scored from the penalty spot with Cody Rocks also finding the back of the net.

Camogie

Galway beat Waterford 1-12 to 1-9 in their All-Ireland Camogie Championship quarter-final at Croke Park this afternoon.

Aoife Donohue with the crucial goal for the Tribeswomen.

They will play Tipperary next while Cork and Dublin will contest the other semi-final.

Women's football

The last of the Ladies Football quarter-finals is also down for decision today.

Armagh and Mayo meet at the Athletic Grounds from 5.45pm.

Kerry, Cork and Galway all booked their semi-final spots yesterday.

Wimbledon

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz is into the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.

The Spaniard has beaten France's Ugo Humbert 3-sets-to-1 at SW19 this afternoon.

Elsewhere, top seed Jannick Sinner leads Ben Shelton of the United States 2-sets-to-1.

In the women's draw, Emma Raducanu is the last Brit standing. However, she trails New Zealand's Lulu Sun 1-set-to-love on Centre Court.

This will be followed by the all-American affair between Coco Gauff and Emma Navarro.

Formula One

Lewis Hamilton has won the British Formula One Grand Prix for a record-extending ninth time - after an eventful race for the home drivers.

The seven-time world champion crossed the line ahead of standings leader Max Verstappen, with McLaren's Lando Norris, third at Silverstone.

Hamilton's Mercedes teammate George Russell, who started on pole, retired mid-race due to a water system failure.

Tour de France

Stage 9 of the Tour de France will be one of the most testing yet as the riders face a near 200 kilometre route which begins and ends in Troyes.

Tadej Pogacar still leads the general classification by 33 seconds ahead of Belgium's Remco Evenepoel.
