St Abban’s athletes do the club proud

THE National League finals took place on Sunday last with St Abban’s AC fielding teams in both the Men’s and Women’s competitions. The Men's team finished sixth in the Premier Division and the Women's team finished fourth in Division 1.
Similar to last year, divisions were decided a number of weeks ago at a preliminary round. Clubs are expected to cover 17 events across the track and field with athletes scoring points based off their finishing position.
Special mention must go to a number of the club’s athletes who covered a number of events in order to gather points for the club. Each athlete competing gave it their all and represented the club with great pride throughout the league.
RESULTS:
Women Division 1: 1, Enniscorthy AC 148 points; 2, Kilkenny City Harriers 135 points; 3, Waterford AC 113 points; 4, St Abbans AC 86 points.
Men Premier Division: 1, Dundrum South Dublin AC 140 points; 2, Clonliffe Harriers 140 points; 3, Nenagh Olympic AC 106.5 points; 4, Leevale AC 103 points; 5, Donore Harriers 87 points; 6, St Abbans AC 67.5 points.
Many thanks to all involved in getting teams out, and to all the coaches and supporters who travelled to Tullamore Harriers for the final time this season.
