The conflict in the Middle East features heavily on Irish front pages on Wednesday.

The Irish Times, Irish Independent and Irish Daily Mirror lead with the war in Iran as the Government works to bring stranded Irish people home.

The Irish Examiner lead with Taoiseach Micheál Martin accusing fuel companies of price gouging as fears over the escalating conflict in the Middle East sparked surging petrol and home heating oil prices.

The Irish Daily Star also lead with the war in Iran.

The Echo lead with the family of a Cork woman who died from Covid in hospital, settling a High Court action over her death.

The Herald lead with families being locked out of new homes because of a water row.

The Irish Daily Mail lead with the Health Minister being told that almost 150 lives would have been saved in the past seven years if Ireland had a doctor-led helicopter emergency team.
