A free business growth workshop aimed at helping SMEs improve their marketing and sales performance will take place in Portlaoise next month.
The event, “Influence to Win: How to Communicate, Persuade and Sell Smarter in the Future Marketplace”, will be hosted by the Laois Nationalist and organised by David Delaney in collaboration with Jackie Carroll of Laois Chamber Alliance.
It will be held at the Maldron Hotel, Portlaoise on Thursday, May 7th at 10am.
The session is designed to address a key challenge facing many small and medium-sized businesses — the ability to clearly communicate their value in a competitive marketplace.
Organisers say that while many businesses deliver strong products and services, those that fail to articulate their offering effectively often lose out to competitors with clearer messaging and stronger positioning.
The 90-minute workshop will focus on practical, results-driven strategies, including how to refine messaging, build authority in the market, and improve sales conversations to drive better conversion and long-term growth. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network, with tea and coffee provided.
The session will be delivered by Riad Zouheir, a marketing and media specialist with more than 20 years’ experience working with businesses across international markets.
Mr Zouheir has worked closely with leading media organisations, including The Irish Times Group, supporting commercial strategy, revenue growth and advertiser education. His expertise spans both digital and traditional channels, including PPC, paid social, SEO, press, television and radio.
He has delivered over 300 conferences and workshops globally, equipping business owners and sales teams with practical tools to strengthen communication, improve performance and achieve measurable results.
Originally from Paris and based in London for more than 25 years, he brings a combination of international perspective and hands-on commercial experience.
The event is free to attend, but places are expected to be in demand. Registration is via Laois Chamber Alliance website.
