The late Ita Kennedy
Ita Kennedy (née Murphy), Dunmasc, Portlaoise and late of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan and formerly Kennedy’s Chemist, Main Street, Portlaoise passed away peacefully on Monday 23 December surrounded by her loving family.
Ita was the wife of the late John and dearly loved mother to Jean, Paul, Anne, Gráinne, Fionnuala, and Enda. Mother-in-law to Frank, Helen, Philip and Alain, cherished grandmother to Jean, Seán, Ellen, Liam, Áine, John, Aidan and Noah.
Also sadly missed by sister-in-law Gretta, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and former customers.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Friday 27 December from 5pm until 7pm.
Removal on Saturday 28 December to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12 noon mass and followed by burial in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
The family are so grateful for the wonderful palliative care received in Ita's home in recent days.
Donations to the Irish Cancer Society would be much appreciated in gratitude for such service instead of flowers.
