Laois death notice: Fr Jim Fingleton, Stradbally

Fr Jim Fingleton, Ratheniska, Stradbally, Laois and former parish priest of Christ the King Church, Cabra, Dublin died peacefully on 8 December, in the wonderful care of staff at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Sybil Hill.

Beloved brother of Tom, Har, Joe, Brendan, Larry, Mary, Nell and Veronica. Predeceased by his parents Har and Margaret and sisters Kay and Margaret.

Very sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family, friends, Archbishop Dermot Farrell and the priests of the Archdiocese of Dublin.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at the Sacred Heart Residence, Sybil Hill, Raheny (D05 XK58) on Wednesday 10 December from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in Sybil Hill Nursing Home Chapel.

Reposing in the Church of the Holy Cross, Ratheniska, Stradbally on Thursday from 4pm, with Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral mass on Friday at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The Funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Ratheniska will be streamed live on Friday at 11am on the parish webcam.
