Fr Watt, RIP
Fr Walter Thomas Cooke (Fr Watt, Wally), Crannagh, Mountrath, Laois/Castletown, Laois and former parishes of Fitzroy, Stratford, Opunake, New Plymouth, New Zealand passed away peacefully on 2 June in the wonderful care of the staff at Miguel House, Castletown, surrounded by his loving relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget, brothers Fintan, Jimmy, Johnny, Joe and Fr Pat, sisters Sheila and Ina.
Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by his cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends, his parishioners in New Zealand and Ireland and lifelong family friend Paddy.
Requiescat in Pace.
Lying in repose in St Edmund's Church, Castletown R32KT22) this Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm.
Funeral Mass this Friday at 3pm, with burial immediately afterwards in Aghaboe Cemetery.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to St Vincent De Paul Society, Castletown, donation box in church.
