James (Jim) Stanley, RIP
James (Jim) Stanley, Coolfin, Rathdowney, Laois, died peacefully on 4 June in the wonderful care of doctors, nurses and all the staff of Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.
James also enjoyed the wonderful care of his many carers that supported him from Comfort Homecare at home.
Beloved husband of the late Thomasena (Ena) Stanley (née Hodgins), loving father of Trevor, Dawn (Turner), Avril, Declan, Baden and Gail McDermott.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Claire (McDonald), Brian, Jonathan, Luke, Bethany, Kate (Maughan) and Graham, his great-grandchildren Abi, Rosie, George, Maya and Grace, daughters-in-law Carol and Avril, sons-in-law Bill Turner and Willie McDermott, his brother Arthur, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Safe in the arms of Jesus.
Reposing at O'Sullivan's funeral home, Rathdowney (R32 NY24) this Saturday evening from 5pm, pausing for prayer at 7.30pm.
Removal on Sunday afternoon to St Andrew's Church of Ireland, Rathdowney, arriving for funeral service at 3pm. Interment afterwards in Killermogh Cemetery.
