Laois death notice: Joan Brophy, Doonane

Joan Brophy, Doonane, Laois/Carlow 

Resident of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally and formerly of 25 Doonane Road and 13 Doonane Terrace, Joan bore her illness with incredible strength and died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Emo Court ward, Portlaoise hospital on 2 November.

Predeceased by her parents Maura and Patrick, baby Marian, sisters Mary, Julia, baby Margaret, brother Seamus, brothers-in-law Georgie, Frank, John and Pat, sister-in-law Patty, niece baby Bernadette and nephews Shane, Shane (Jnr) and Jamie.

Deeply regretted by husband Jimmy, son James, daughter Joan and son-in-law Chris, brother Edward, sisters Frances, Bridie, Christina and Annette, brothers-in-law Liam, John and Seamus, sisters-in-law, Nano, Peggy, Teresa, Maura, Bernadette, Claire, Bridget and Catherine, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, carers and health care professionals who looked after Joan over the years.

MAY JOAN REST IN PEACE 

Reposing at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally on Tuesday 4 November from 6pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm.

The Funeral Cortege will arrive at St Abban's Church, Doonane for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Joan will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery.
