Laois death notice: John Carey, Portarlington

John Carey, Portarlington, Laois and formerly of Tymon North, Dublin 24 died peacefully on 28 May, in the dignified and respectful care of the staff of St James’s Hospital, Dublin, in the presence of his loving family, following the wonderful care of the staff of Portlaoise Hospital ICU.

Dearly loved son of Rita and much-loved brother of Colm, Pat and Caroline. John will be forever loved and sadly missed by his mother, brothers and sister, his son Jordan and his two granddaughters Freya and Aurora. 

He will be forever in the thoughts of his aunts and uncles and remembered by his nephews, nieces and extended family.

A special word of thanks to the Peter McVerry Trust who helped John greatly in his moment of need. Donations, if desired can be made to the Irish Cancer Society or the Peter McVerry Trust in memory of John.
