Laois death notice: John Patrick Barrett, Rathdowney

John Patrick Barrett, Mooreville Cottage, Rathdowney, Laois and Sutton, Surrey, UK passed away peacefully on 26 April, in the presence of his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Pat and Daisy Barrett and his brother Danny, who died on 1 May 2026.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Pauline, daughters Daisy and Louise, son Daniel, grandchildren Eva, Luca and Ronnie, brothers and sisters Mary, Jer, Regina, Collette and Audrey, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and the UK.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at O'Sullivan's funeral home, Rathdowney this Wednesday evening from 6pm, pausing for prayers at 7.30pm.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.
