Martin Brophy, of Fairymount, Crettyard, Co Laois and formerly of Ballyquirke, Gowran, Co Kilkenny passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, on 6 January under the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at University Hospital, Waterford.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of Teresa, Carmel, Patrick and Martina, adored grandfather of Saoirse, Aoibhinn, Caoimhe, Síofra and Ellen and cherished brother of John, Mary and the late Timothy.

He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Paul and Colin, Martina’s partner Ross, daughter-in-law Daiva, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
