Laois death notice: Mary Bergin (née Whelan), Donaghmore

Mary Bergin (née Whelan), Church Road, Donaghmore, Laois passed away peacefully at home in her 90th year, with her loving family by her side.

Predeceased by her husband Martin, sister Noreen, brother Michael (Micky), sisters-in-law Mary and Sally, brothers-in-law Steve, Paddy, Joe and Jack.

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Liam, Patricia and John, daughters-in-law Denise and Colette, grandchildren Conor, Ollie, Oisín and Emma, brother Joe Whelan, sister Patricia Groden, nieces, nephews, neighbours, her dancing and bingo comrades and a wide circle of friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at O'Sullivan's funeral home, Rathdowney (R32 NY24) this Thursday evening from 3pm, pausing for prayers at 7.30pm.

Removal from her residence on Friday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

The Bergin family would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely the doctors, nurses, carers and all those in the medical profession who looked after Mary with such compassion. They will be forever grateful.
