Laois death notice: Phelim O'Connell, Vicarstown and Castlecomer

Phelim O'Connell, The Square, Castlecomer/Clifden, Clara, Co Kilkenny and formerly Vicarstown, Laois passed away peacefully on 14 May, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by Triona, his parents Phelim and Mary and sisters Mary, Phil and Sheila.

He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken daughters Gillian, Zoe and Megan, brothers Fr Patrick O’Connell M.H.M., Eamon and Bosco, sister Kay, sister-in-law Mary (King), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Square, Castlecomer (R95 XT99) on Sunday 17 May from 5pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral cortége will arrive at St Colman’s Church, Clara on Monday for Requiem Mass at 11am. Phelim will be laid to rest thereafter in St Colman’s Cemetery.

House strictly private on Monday morning.
