LAOIS enjoyed a hugely successful day at Friday’s All Ireland Hurlers Golf Outing in Thurles, with some outstanding individual and team performances.
Broughan O’Reilly is presented with the John McGrath Memorial Trophy by Society Captain Seamus Conroy
Broughan O’Reilly claimed the coveted John McGrath Memorial Trophy, taking the top prize on the day. There was also a fine showing from the Laois squad in the team competition, with John Taylor, Broughan O’Reilly, Tommy Moore, Gerry Kavanagh, Matthew Keegan and John Delaney combining to secure an impressive third place finish.

There was further cause for celebration when Matthew Keegan was crowned Golfer of the Year. His excellent performance in Thurles, along with a series of impressive displays in earlier Outings throughout the year, saw him deservedly take the prestigious Bill Cashin Award.
It was a fantastic all-round achievement for the Laois contingent and a hugely proud day for Laois Golf.
