A man in his 30s has died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Longford.

The collision occurred on the R392 in Ballymahon, Co Longford, shortly after midnight on Sunday, March 29th.

The man in his 30s, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore for treatment of injuries.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the man passed away in hospital on Friday.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any motorists who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
