A 32-year-old man has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in south Belfast.

The PSNI say officers responded to reports of a “concern for safety” at an address in the Cromwell Road area on Wednesday.

A man was taken to hospital by ambulance shortly after 1pm, but later died.

Detective Inspector Jack Kelly said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody at this time.”

Police say enquiries are ongoing and more updates will be provided “in due course”.
