Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the assault of a man in Tallaght, Dublin, earlier this month.

The man was assaulted in Killinarden Heights on August 18th.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The man arrested is currently detained at a Garda Station in Dublin.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
