Man arrested over Ballinasloe shooting released without charge

A man arrested as part of the investigation into a shooting in Galway has been released without charge.

Another man in his 20s suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident at a house in Dunlo in Ballinasloe in the early hours of Monday morning.

He was treated at University Hospital Galway.

Gardaí had been detaining a man in his 20s at a Garda station in the northwest. He has now been released without charge, with a file being prepared for the DPP.
