A nationwide manhunt is underway after the murder of American citizen and mother of one Jamey Carney (43) in Killarney, Co Kerry.
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after Carney was found at a domestic residence at Muckross Road in Killarney on Tuesday.
Gardaí are looking for a man, from the Middle East, who was known to Carney and "has information to share" relating to her death, The Irish Times reports.
Alerts had already been issued to ports and airports, but there are concerns that the man has still not been located.
Carney was born in New York and moved to Ireland with her 13-year-old daughter in 2021.
Gardaí said a postmortem examination has been completed by state pathologist Dr Linda Mulligan, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.

The scene remains preserved while a technical examination of the location is carried out.
An incident room has been established at Killarney Garda Station and a senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the murder investigation.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the Muckross Road area of Killarney between 11pm on July 6th and 5am on July 7th and who may have camera footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
