A motorcyclist has been left with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, last Tuesday.

The collision between a motorcycle and a van happened at Fairfield on the Enniscorthy to Monart road at around 4:00 pm.

The motorcyclist, an adult male in his late teens, was brought by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the van was not injured.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since been fully reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage from Enniscorthy to Monart road between 3:40 pm and 4:10 pm are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
