PREPARATIONS are well underway for this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Clonaslee. The hard-working committee are leaving no stone unturned to build on the great success of last year’s event, which saw the revival of the parade in the town.
The parade gets underway at noon, with floats and participants being politely asked to assemble at Clonaslee Community Centre from 11am.
A prize fund of €1,350 is up for grabs, with €600 going to the best float and €150 for each of the five category winners.
Grand marshal for this year’s parade is the Clonaslee senior hurling team, which won the senior county championship in 1975.
This year’s parade in Clonaslee promises to be one to remember.
