BREAKING: Gardaí at scene of Laois crash

Gardaí and other emergency services are at the scene of a crash on a rural road in Laois.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the R445 at Clonadacasey, about half-way between Mountrath and Portlaoise, shortly before noon today.
It is not yet known whether there were serious injuries as a result of the crash, which happened at about 11.40am on what was the old main Dublin/Limerick road.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and traffic diversions are in place, while they deal with the incident.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
