THE four juveniles who were arrested at the scene of a road traffic collision where a motorcyclist was seriously injured have been released without charge. It is understood that investigations are ongoing and the director of public prosecutions is preparing a file of evidence for prosecution.

On Wednesday 8 July, a stolen black Ford Ranger pick-up truck collided with a car and motorcycle on Chaff Street, Graiguecullen.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from the Rathcoole area of Co Dublin in the early hours of the morning. It was then spotted by gardaí on mobile patrol travelling on Chaff Street at approximately 7.35am.

The truck failed to stop and collided with another car and a motorcycle before leaving the scene.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Gardaí ask anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera or dashcam footage are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
