A PORTLAOISE man was warned that if he parks his Range Rover in a disabled parking bay ever again, he would be put off the road.
The warning was issued by Judge Andrew Cody to Daniel Lynch, 26 Heathfields, Portlaoise, who was before the local district court last week for illegally parking in a disabled bay at Market Square, Portlaoise on 5 October last year.
Mr Lynch pleaded guilty to the summons.
The court heard that the defendant has 13 previous convictions, all for road traffic offences, with one of them for illegally parking in a disabled parking bay in November 2023.
Fining Mr Lynch €500 for the offence, Judge Cody warned: “If he ever parks his Range Rover in a disabled parking bay again, he’ll be off the road.”
