Portlaoise Court: Local man charged with offence under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act

A PORTLAOISE man was charged with an offence under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act at a sitting of the local district court.

Brian Darcy, 18 Harpur’s Court, Portlaoise was charged with possessing a hockey stick and with criminally damaging two windows on 6 November last at Telfords, Clonminam Business Park, Portlaoise.

Judge Andrew Cody remanded the 24-year-old accused on continuing bail to 28 July to allow time for him to enter a guilty or not guilty plea and set 23 September for a full hearing into the case.
