Gardaí arrest drunk truck driver in Laois

A TRUCK driver in Laois who was described as ‘drunk’ behind the wheel was arrested by gardaí today.
The vehicle was stopped in Killeshin by members of the Laois Roads Policing Unit, who were on patrol in an unmarked car.
Posting a picture from the scene (above) on the An Garda Síochána Laois Offaly social media page, gardaí said: ‘The driver behind the wheel was drunk.’
The driver was arrested and was brought to a garda station to give a sample, while the truck was towed away.
Gardaí confirmed that court proceedings have commenced against the driver.
