GARDAÍ seized a car from a food delivery driver in Laois for a litany of traffic offences today.
The driver was a learner permit holder with no insurance, tax or NCT and the car had a ‘severely’ bald tyre.
The motorist also had no L plates and was not accompanied by a qualified driver.
Portarlington and Mountmellick gardaí were out on patrol when they stopped and seized the Vokswagen (pictured) in Portarlington.
Posting a photo on the An Garda Síochána Laois Offaly social media page, gardaí said the vehicle was being driven without insurance while 'out delivering food in the locality'.
They said: ‘The driver of the vehicle was also a learner permit holder and driving without a full licence driver or L plates.
'There was a severely bald tyre on the vehicle, as well as no tax or NCT.’
Fines and summonses for a court appearance will follow.
