Gardaí seize car in Portlaoise
The car was seized in Kilminchy this afternoon
ANOTHER uninsured driver bit the dust after an encounter with gardaí in Portlaoise today.
The car was seized and towed away from the scene, after gardaí received an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) alert for no insurance.
Members of the Laois Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in Kilminchy when they received the alert this afternoon.
The driver was stopped and proved to have no insurance for the vehicle. The culprit is facing an appearance at Portlaoise District Court.
Posting a picture from the scene (above) on social media, Laois-Offaly gardaí said: ‘The vehicle was seized and court proceedings have commenced.’
