GARDAÍ worked their magic in Laois today, when a driver was caught just 11 hours into a two-year driving ban.
In what gardaí described as ‘hocus pocus’, the Ford Focus disappeared on a recovery truck after the driver was stopped in Rathdowney.
The culprit was arrested for driving while disqualified and is facing another court appearance.
In a social media post titled ‘Hocus Pocus … No More Focus’, gardaí said: ‘No magic spell strong enough to make a court order vanish.’
The car was stopped by members of the Laois Roads Policing Unit (RPU) in Rathdowney this morning, soon after a disqualification came into effect.
An Garda Síochána Laois Offaly said on social media: ‘The driver behind the wheel was just 11 hours into a two-year disqualification.’
The motorist was arrested for driving while disqualified and the Ford Focus, pictured at the scene above, was impounded by gardaí.
Proceedings have begun and driver is set to make a return appearance before the courts.
