Laois gardaí seize car with bald tyres from uninsured driver
The car was seized at a checkpoint in Mountmellick yesterday (Wednesday) evening
A CAR with bald front tyres driven by an uninsured driver has been seized by Laois gardaí.
Both front tyres were so worn that the internal wires were visible, according to the Laois Roads Policing Unit.
The unit was operating a checkpoint in Mountmellick yesterday (Wednesday) evening when the vehicle was stopped.
The driver had no insurance and the car’s NCT had expired in 2023.
The vehicle was seized and was towed away from the scene.
Posting photos on social media (above), gardaí said that court proceedings have commenced against the driver.
