LEO delivers top-class speakers during Enterprise Week

LAOIS Local Enterprise Office recently ran Laois Enterprise Week, a series of events which ran from 2-6 March. The initiative offered a host of free events aimed at supporting and growing businesses across Co Laois. 

Guest speakers and events included Gerry Duffy, a speaker and author in high performance who works with business leaders and teams to help them perform at their best and who has worked with over 1,000 organisations across Ireland and internationally, ranging from SMEs to global brands, helping people improve focus, execution and results in fast-paced environments and Eoin Mc Gee, a certified financial planner, professional and qualified financial adviser, who is known for several shows he presented on RTÉ such as How to be Good with Money and The Complaints Bureau in 2023 and who recently published a book titled How to Achieve Financial Freedom spoke to attendees on the theme How to be Good with Money/Business.

Also in attendance was Ken McHugh, who delivered a workshop on AI Tools for Business that you will Actually Uuse.

The week was brought to a close with a sold-out event, a celebration of international women’s day, where various business women from across Laois gathered to attend a meet-up and lunch in the Killeshin Hotel on Friday. The keynote speaker was former Irish international athlete Derval O’Rourke, who competed internationally in the 60 and 100m hurdles and participated in two indoor world championships, five outdoor world championships and three Olympic Games.
