Mercedes seized by Laois gardaí
The car was seized by Laois gardaí on the M7 this morning
A BANNED driver who gave false details to Laois gardaí was arrested today and the car was seized.
The Mercedes saloon was pulled in by the Laois Roads Policing Unit on the M7 motorway this morning.
The person behind the wheel proved to be disqualified from driving and had failed to surrender their driving licence. The driver also gave false details to gardaí.
Posting a photo from the scene (above) on social media today, gardaí said that the driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
The Mercedes was towed away from the motorway and court proceedings have commenced against the motorist.
