Motorcyclist in Laois runs out of road

The motorbike was seized by Laois gardaí today

A MOTORBIKE whose road tax expired nearly 11 years ago was seized by Laois gardaí today.

It was the end of the road for the driver, who had no insurance and whose tax was out of date by more than 4,000 days, or ten years and nine months.

Members of the Laois Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in an unmarked car when they stopped the motorcycle on the M7 motorway.

Posting a photo from the scene on social media, gardaí said: ‘With tax out over 4,000 days and no insurance, it was the end of the road.’

The motorcycle was impounded and court proceedings have commenced against the driver.
