Mountmellick Folk singer set to play in her hometown

Chart toping Mountmellick Folk singer Emer Dunne to perform in The Balcony Theatre, Mountmellick on Saturday 19 October.
WITH three number one songs and a chart-topping album in the official Irish charts, Mountmellick folk singer Emer Dunne has been making a name on the Irish music scene.
Now Emer is set to bring that same magic to Mountmellick’s newly renovated theatre setting, The Balcony Theatre on Saturday 19 October at 8pm.
Emer will be joined on stage by her talented guitarist, Eamonn Moran and well-known fiddler, John Davidson. Together the trio promise a night of unforgettable live music and song, blending Irish folk with their own distinctive flair and combining the well known and loved songs with contemporary surprises.
Emer has recently completed two headline theatre tours in various corners of Ireland. She also toured with renowned folk legends, The Fureys which gave her a great opportunity to perform in some iconic venues including the INEC in Killarney, the Cork Opera House, the Royal Theatre Castlebar and two performances in Vicar Street in Dublin. Most recently she wowed the audience in Australia opening for the folk legends, The High Kings.
Emer loves connecting with her audience and she was delighted to hear the crowds singing along to her renditions of some of the great Irish folk songs.
Emer released her latest song last month called Running back to You written by Irish songwriters Matt McGinn and Brigid O’Neill. It shot into the Irish charts and soared to number one in the Official Irish Charts and is receiving radio play across the country.
