Truck and van crash in Mountmellick

A CRASH in the centre of Mountmellick caused traffic delays this morning.
The collision between a truck and a van happened near the Tirlán CountryLife store on Market Street.
It is understood that there were no injuries but the street was blocked for some time, while emergency services dealt with the collision.
Traffic diversions were set up and motorists on the busy N80 were advised to take alternative routes.
The street was cleared quickly and traffic was moving freely again before 11am.
