Two teenagers dead and three others injured in single vehicle collision

Two teenage men have died in a road crash in Co Mayo.
The single vehicle collision occurred on the L5140 at Laghtadawannagh near Ballina shortly after 4.15am on Sunday.
Two of the people in the car, both men in their late teens, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other occupants, two males in their mid-teens and one woman in her late teens, were brought by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital.
Their injuries are not life-threatening.
The coroner has been notified, and post-mortem examinations will be conducted in due course.

Advertisement Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, from the area at the time have been asked to make it available to investigating gardáí.
