Warning in Laois over carpet salesman

A HOTEL in Laois issued a warning today about a carpet salesman in a white van, who is falsely claiming to be from the hotel.
The Abbeyleix Manor Hotel posted a notice on social media at 1pm, urging people in the area to be vigilant.
Hotel management said: ‘There is a man selling carpets from a white van in the area today. His claims that he has worked with The Manor hotel are untrue and we have no connection with this individual. Please be vigilant.’
Gardaí have been contacted regarding the supposed conman.
