Wide variety of events lined up for this weekend's Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival

THE Lovely Laois Homecoming Festival will return from Friday to Sunday, 4-6 September.

The festival will take a different form each day, with the biggest event, the country music festival, taking place on Sunday.

The line-up for that day includes some of Ireland’s most celebrated entertainers, including Sandy Kelly, Shawn Cuddy, Paddy O’Brien and The Musketeers, Mick Foster, TR Dallas and Billy Morrissey.

Friday will see a variety of events, including a songwriting workshop, dances, photography exhibitions and various other arts themed events. The highlight on Saturday will be a gala dinner billed as celebrating the guest of honour, former RTÉ broadcaster Eileen Dunne, and other local unsung heroes, including Noel Burke, representatives of the Arc Project, Tom Duffy and representatives from Abbeyleix House and Farm. Tickets for this event cost €69 each.
