A WOOLLY suspect has been taken into custody by gardaí, having been observed loitering at Portlaoise train station.
The intruder was intercepted by gardaí on beat patrol this morning and a public appeal has been issued, in an attempt to establish his identity.
The toy dog remains in custody at Portlaoise Garda Station but will be granted conditional release, if a reliable citizen comes forward with bail.
On a serious note, kind gardaí hope that the owner will be found, as the lost toy may be a treasured companion for a child.
