Olivia Rodrigo thrilled around 35,000 fans with her hits at Dublin's Marlay Park on Tuesday night, but nobody was expecting the flawless Fontaines DC cover she included in her set.

“You guys have really incredible music here,” she told fans.  “They are so many incredible bands out of Dublin. Lately I’ve been really obsessed with this band Fontaines DC. I’ve been playing this song alone in my room.”

The Dublin band's hit 'I Love You', was no problem to Rodrigo, including the line 'rhe gall of Fine Gael and the fail of Fianna Fáil' which could have easily been tricky for her.

You can watch Rodrigo's rendition of I Love You below.

The 22-year-old played many of her hits including the likes of Drivers License, Bad Idea Right?, Brutal and Good 4 U, and finished with Lacy, which was particularly popular with the large crowd.

The concert was another hit after her May 2024 performance at the 3Arena.

Rodrigo is set to perform at Glastonbury again this summer, and if her popularity keeps going on this trajectory her next Irish gig could well be a stadium performance.
