Rain, wind, and snow warnings issued for several counties

Met Éireann has issued rain, wind and snow warnings for several counties.

A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Wexford, Wicklow, Dublin, Meath, and Louth.

The warning takes effect at 11 pm on Tuesday and remains in place until 1 pm on Wednesday.

Met Éireann has warned of fallen trees and loose debris, and difficult travelling conditions.

A yellow rain warning will also come into effect at the same time for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Cork, Tipperary, and Waterford.

Met Éireann has issued a warning of flooding and poor visibility.

The warning will last until 11 pm on Wednesday.

A rain and snow warning has also been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, and Sligo.

The warning comes into place at 2 am on Wednesday until 2 pm.

Tuesday will be a dry day for most. It will be bright at first, but with cloud thickening from the southwest through the day.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread across Munster from the southwest later this morning and during the afternoon.

Highs of just three to seven degrees.

Tuesday night will be wet and with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread, possibly falling as sleet or snow at times in the west and northwest and on higher ground.

Temperatures will range from zero to five degrees.

Wednesday will be wet and breezy, with showers possibly falling as sleet or snow for a time in the northwest and on higher ground.

The rain will gradually become confined to Leinster and Ulster, with scattered showers following for Connacht and Munster.

Highs of just two to five degrees in the north, but of five to 10 degrees elsewhere.
